- A remote area zone rebate is available for Flag Nation tax residents. Salaries and benefits paid to crew members is subject to taxation (including PAYG withholding arrangements) under the laws of the Flag Nation. Salaries and remuneration paid to sponsored inhabitants is entirely between them and their sponsor, and may or may not be subject to the taxation system and laws of both the Flag Nation and their country of origin.
